SHARE Meeting: November 9, 2010

SHARE Meeting: September 14, 2010

Please join us for our next regular SHARE meeting on Tuesday, September 14 from 9:00am-11:00am. We will be meeting in the dining room at The Kensington, 1580 Geary Rd. in Walnut Creek. Please park in the designated lot located adjacent to The Kensington on Geary Rd.

This meeting's speaker is Dr. Vivian Clayton. Her presentation is titled, "When is Influence Undue?"

Dr. Clayton's presentation will highlight the latest findings on this topic of
importance to professional care providers, families and seniors alike. Cognitive and personality characteristics of the elder, as well as tactics and outcomes of the influencers will be discussed. Understanding the elder's vulnerabilities can play a key role in preventing this type of abuse before it causes personal and financial harm.

Dr. Vivian Clayton is a geriatric neuropsychologist with over thirty
years of experience. Her specialities include memory screening assessments and capacity evaluations. She is co-author of a manual published by the Education Division of the California State Bar entitled, "Capacity and Undue Influence: Assessing, Challenging and Defending".
